Wildlife Permits

In Western Australia, the care and use of animals are governed by the provisions of the Animal Welfare Act 2002, which ensures the welfare, safety, and health of animals used for scientific purposes. Nocterra will undertake operations under our Scientific Use Licence which allows us to interact with animals for scientific purposes in approved projects.

Aerial Surveys

UAV surveying a turtle track

Our qualified pilots can conduct aerial survey operations with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) under a CASA-issued Remote Operators Certificate (ReOC). We are actively expanding our capability to include beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) UAV operations, enabling us to survey habitat on offshore islands without requiring a vessel. This approach reduces our safety risks and is more cost-effective for you.
